March turned into a busy month. Silly me.
Anyway, hard on the heals of last month’s address to Ottawa’s public high school history teachers (materials here; Rachel Collishaw’s write up of the day here) I’ll be next at:
- Colder Than Mars, a series out of the University of Regina. I’ll probably be doing something regarding sonification of historical data; March 4th
- ThatCamp North Country at St. Lawrence University, NY. A keynote, wherein I’ll think about storytelling for history students; March 10th
- Game Changers Speakers’ Series for the Canada Science and Technology Museum, to support their new travelling exhibit on the Canadian Video Game Industry. March 23rd, at Lowertown Brewery I’m told. A panel presentation; I have 15 minutes on ‘Minecrafting History’
- Data Day 3.0 at Carleton University. March 29th. Another panel; I’m thinking I’ll talk about Gothic Big Data, or why Data Science without Digital Humanities is a Bad Idea
And in the middle of that, there’s an event happening at the Discovery Centre on the 16th that I think I’m supposed to be at (more Minecraft, moar history!). I should probably sell tour t-shirts or something.
